And the 2025 vacation has begun, this year in a slightly different way… actually with the car ferry \ud83d\udea2 from Brindisi to Igoumenitsa… a completely new experience… but what wouldn’t you do to get the dog \ud83d\udc15\u200d\ud83e\uddba to Greece as gently as possible… although, now I almost think, a 3-hour flight would have been more relaxing… but one after another\u2026
\nWe took 2 days for the 1600km drive to Brindisi, 2 overnight stays (Ancona & Brindisi) and then off to the ferry. Unfortunately, this (Grimaldi Lines) turned out to be quite a flop and was really just a means to an end. Everyone who hadn’t booked an expensive room was crammed into a small windowless room that we could only leave very sporadically because of the dog. A real shame and hardly recommendable. But these 8 hours also passed and we happily set foot on Greek soil around midnight, my car \ud83d\ude99for the first time ever.\ud83d\ude09
\nAt 1 a.m. \u23f0 we arrived tired but happy in the marina and first had to look for a suitable tool to get onto Mawari, which was moored far away. (Passarella was, of course, lashed on board to prevent theft) A household ladder was ultimately the saving solution.<\/p>\n

The next few days were very labor-intensive and sweaty. Anyone who has ever scrubbed and oiled their teak deck in 35 degrees and \u2600\ufe0fsunshine knows what I’m talking about \ud83d\ude05
\nTo make matters worse, the water supply \ud83d\udca7 had a problem, the jetty hardly supplied any water and the showers only a trickle \ud83e\udee3
\nCleaning, clearing, showering\ud83d\udec1, shopping, washing, showering again, of course repairing and reassembling…and \ud83d\udec1showering…craftsmen on board…\ud83d\udd28\ud83d\udd27\u2692\ufe0f\ud83d\udd29\u2699\ufe0fshowering….1 week \u23f3 flew by and how happy we were when we could finally leave the marina on Tuesday! Finally escaping the heat of the country and letting a little cooler wind blow around our nose… wonderful, even if the wind sometimes feels like the hot air in an oven \ud83d\ude02
\nWe are on our way south, first to Zakynthos, where Nicole is coming to visit us for a few days \u26f1\ufe0f and then Kephalonia, from where Moritz and Viki will accompany us home \u26f5\ufe0f… we are already looking forward to our visit \ud83d\ude0d\ud83d\udc15\u200d\ud83e\uddba<\/p>\n

Und der Urlaub 2025 hat begonnen, dieses Jahr einmal auf eine etwas andere Art und Weise\u2026.n\u00e4mlich mit der Auto-F\u00e4hre \ud83d\udea2 von Brindisi nach Igoumenitsa\u2026eine ganz neue Erfahrung\u2026.aber was tut man nicht alles um den Hund \ud83d\udc15\u200d\ud83e\uddba m\u00f6glichst schonend nach Griechenland zu bringen\u2026.wobei, mittlerweile meine ich fast, w\u00e4ren 3 Stunden Flug entspannter gewesen\u2026aber alles der Reihe nach\u2026
\n2 Tage nahmen wir uns Zeit f\u00fcr die 1600km Fahrt nach Brindisi, 2 \u00dcbernachtungen (Ancona & Brindisi)und dann ab auf die F\u00e4hre. Diese (Grimaldi Lines) erwies sich leider als ziemlicher Flop, und war wirklich nur ein Mittel zum Zweck. Alle, die kein teures Zimmer gebucht hatten, wurden in einen kleinen fensterlosen Raum gezw\u00e4ngt, den wir auf Grund des Hundes nur sehr sporadisch verlassen konnten. Wirklich schade und kaum weiterzuempfehlen. Aber auch diese 8 Stunden gingen vorbei und freudig betraten wir gegen Mitternacht griechischen Boden, mein Auto \ud83d\ude99\u00fcberhaupt das erste Mal.\ud83d\ude09
\nNachts um 1.00 Uhr \u23f0 kamen wir m\u00fcde aber gl\u00fccklich in der Marina an und mussten erst mal nach einem geeigneten Hilfsmittel suchen, um auf die weit weggespannte Mawari zu kommen. ( Passarella war nat\u00fcrlich diebstahlssicher an Bord verzurrt) Eine Haushaltsleiter war schlie\u00dflich die rettende L\u00f6sung.<\/p>\n

Die n\u00e4chsten Tage waren sehr arbeitsintensiv und schwei\u00dftreibend. Wer schon mal sein Teakdeck abgeschrubbt und einge\u00f6lt hat, bei 35 Grad und \u2600\ufe0fSonnenschein, wei\u00df von was ich rede \ud83d\ude05
\nErschwerend kam hinzu, dass die Wasserversorgung \ud83d\udca7ein Problem hatte, der Steg kaum Wasser lieferte und die Duschen nur ein Rinnsal \ud83e\udee3
\nPutzen, R\u00e4umen, Duschen\ud83d\udec1, Einkaufen, Waschen, wieder Duschen, nat\u00fcrlich Reparieren und neu Montieren\u2026und \ud83d\udec1Duschen\u2026.Handwerker an Bord\u2026\ud83d\udd28\ud83d\udd27\u2692\ufe0f\ud83d\udd29\u2699\ufe0fDuschen\u2026.1 Woche \u23f3verging damit wie im Flug und wie froh waren wir, als wir die Marina am Dienstag endlich verlassen konnten! Endlich der Hitze des Landes entfliehen und sich ein bisschen k\u00fchleren Fahrtwind um die Nase wehen lassen\u2026.herrlich, auch wenn der Wind sich manchmal anf\u00fchlt wie der Heissluftgang im Backrohr \ud83d\ude02
\nWir sind unterwegs in Richtung S\u00fcden, zuerst nach Zakynthos, wo Nicole uns f\u00fcr ein paar Tage \u26f1\ufe0f besuchen kommt und dann Kephalonia, von wo Moritz und Viki uns dann nachhause \u26f5\ufe0fbegleiten werden\u2026wir freuen uns schon auf unseren Besuch<\/p>\n<\/div>
