GEDANKEN AN DEN NORDEN

Schottland…2 Wochen…7 Mädels und John Boy….mein erster geskipperter Törn in fremden nordischen Gewässern….sehr sehr aufregend, so viel darf ich verraten

Sooo viel neues durfte ich erfahren und lernen….die Erwartungen meinerseits und der Crew waren sehr sehr gross…die Natur, ihre Kraft und Laune, hat uns alle Demut gelehrt und uns eines besseren belehrt…
Es war nass….sehr nass, stürmisch, unwirtlich und mystisch….und gleichzeitig wunderschön…
Nicht immer war es einfach für uns….der hohe Norden war zum Greifen nahe, die äusseren Hebriden zu verlockend…die Natur und der Wind aber unbarmherzig….
Wir haben gelernt uns den Elementen anzupassen und mit ihnen zu ziehen und dabei wunderbare Erfahrungen gemacht….

….Schweinswale und Seehunde haben uns begleitet
….Vögel sich im scheinbar halsbrecherischen Sturzflug ins Meer gestürzt
….wir durften so viele liebe Menschen in dem einzigartigen und wunderschönen Crinan Canal kennenlernen, wurden Meister im Schleusen….ach, Mädels, ich bin so stolz auf eure Zusammenarbeit an den 33 Toren
….der Sound of Luing , der chancenlos versucht hat, uns mit 13 Knoten Speed, Hagel und Böen, das Fürchten zu lehren….
….unsere Anlegemanöver mit jede Menge Wind aus allen Richtungen, stets vorbei wenn wir damit fertig waren
….das sonnige Cafe Fish in Tobermory, glückliche entspannte Stunden
….Inselrundfahrten, Inselspaziergänge und das Wasser bis zu den Knien….mehr war nicht drin 😉
….unser bester Freund….der Heizstrahler….garnicht vorzustellen, was wir ohne ihn getan hätten
….und der Abschlussabend auf Bute….man nehme ein Pub auf dem Lande, Einheimische und jede Menge Musikinstrumente, Publikum und Bier….und zusammen wird es ein Musikgenuss und Abend, der unvergesslich bleiben wird

…Schottland, wir haben dich verflucht und geliebt….

Mädels, ich möchte mich bei euch ganz herzlich für euer Vertrauen bedanken, für eure Wissbegier, euren Eifer, eure Ausdauer, euren Willen und eure Geduld. Ihr wart alle ganz ganz grossartig!
Dir Annette, danke ich, für deine Unterstützung, Geduld, Ruhe und Gelassenheit. Auch von dir durfte ich so Vieles lernen und mitnehmen!

Ich werde euch alle vermissen!

THOUGHTS TO THE NORTH

Scotland … 2 weeks … 7 girls and John Boy …. my first self skippered trip in strange Nordic waters …. very very exciting, so much may I reveal

So many new things I was allowed to experience and learn …. the expectations on my part and the crew were very great … the nature, their strength and whim, taught us all humbleness and taught us a better …
It was wet …. very wet, stormy, inhospitable and mystical …. and at the same time beautiful …
Not always it was easy for us …. the high north was within reach, the outer Hebrides too tempting … nature and the wind but relentless ….
We have learned to adapt to the elements and to move with them and have wonderful experiences ….

…. Porpoises and seals have accompanied us
…. birds plunged into the sea in seemingly breakneck dive
…. we got to meet so many lovely people in the unique and beautiful Crinan Canal, were masters in the locks … oh, girls, I’m so proud of your cooperation at the 33 gates
…. the Sound of Luing, who has no chance to teach us with 13 knots of speed, hail and gust, fear ….
…. our landing maneuvers with lots of wind from all directions, always over when we were done
…. the sunny Cafe Fish in Tobermory, happy relaxed hours
…. island tours, island walks and the water to the knees …. more was not there 😉
…. our best friend …. the radiant heater …. not to imagine what we would have done without him
…. and the final evening on Bute …. take a pub in the country, locals and lots of musical instruments, audience and beer …. and together it will be a musical treat and evening that will remain unforgettable

… Scotland, we cursed and loved you ….

Girls, I would like to sincerely thank you for your trust, for your curiosity, your zeal, your perseverance, your will and your patience. You were all very great!
Thank you, Annette, for your support, patience, calm and serenity. Also from you I was allowed to learn so much and take with me!
